Inspired by the belief that "A woman is home," the series recognises women as custodians of unity and stability. Rather than portraying women merely as individuals, Olamilekan presents them as symbols of collective memory and national identity.
The crown becomes a metaphor for leadership earned through sacrifice, compassion, and resilience rather than inherited power.
Heritage of Becoming: Strength Beyond Circumstances
In Heritage of Becoming I & II, Olamilekan explores another dimension of womanhood.
The works acknowledge that while many women begin life with limited opportunities, they inherit something far more valuable, determination, hope, courage, and the ability to transform adversity into possibility.
