LACE AND FABRIC MOD PODGE IDEAS ON VASES BY MIABO ENYADIKE

LACE AND FABRIC MODPODGE  IDEAS ON VASES  BY MIABO ENYADIKE We all have that off cut fabric here and there, and we love these cut offs but not sure what to do with them.  I have my own stash of cut offs, sometimes ideas come up to use them.  This is one of the ideas that came up, to cover dollar store vases with fabric cut offs, mod podge and acrylic paint.  It was a bit daunting at first but later I was able to get through with it. I used lace, cotton and polyester fabrics, the easiest fabric to set on the vases, was the cotton lace fabric.  The others took a while but they all turned out well.....................ENJOY.                        ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–                    MIABO ENYADIKE

LIVING AT HOME ART AND CRAFT I LOVE BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Image
For me Art and Craft are a huge part of my life apart from it being  my trade, it is a lifestyle and one that I enjoy living. This year I have decided  to change my concept of colour, instead of keeping it simple I decided to go bold for myself and translate the real way I feel   inside of me through colour on the things I love. The only way these colourful items could be curated in my home, without being loud  was to paint my walls in my living room and beyond white so   the Art and Craft represent the colour.............Enjoy     Check more @ artmiabo.com                             MIABO

MY GLITZ AND GLAM 1970s DISCO DECOR BOTTLES BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Image
My bottle projects, are an on going process that really keeps going, because people send me bottles or materials, they are certain I will use; guess what? on bottles!.Thanks. Like I always say Fine Art is my profession, but decorating bottles is my first love. This particular project is close to my heart, because the fabric I used on the bottles, was sent to me by my twin sister. Who lives in another country, her words were simply "take this and do something with it". Its been almost a year since I got this sequined fabric and since I always start the year with re-purposing bottles, I felt the time was right to use this gift .  I  decided something glitz and glam related to the 1970s disco twist will do. So here are my glitz and glam 1970s disco decor bottles.....Enjoy.  check out more bottles on artmiabo.com                       MIABO

Bottle Decoration Ideas to Make by Miabo Enyadike

Image
Bottle Decoration Ideas to Make My love for bottles, is one that I cherish and I look out for new ways, to improve and incorporate new ideas into this re-cycling craft that I love so much.  The bottle skyline I made, are different sizes of bottles put together on a wooden platform, with glue and spray paint, to create a skyline of some sort that would serve as a decor piece.  This could represent a simple sculpture piece or could be used as vases for floral arrangement, especially during the summer season. For me I put this simple yet elegant pieces, in my reading space  as a constant reminder, "that impossible is nothing"...ENJOY! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–    Miabo Enyadike www.saatchiart.com/artmiabo

GETTING MY CRAFT WORK ON! 2015 BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Image
Starting the year, with one of my most fulfilling endeavours, which is re-purposing and re-cycling items is always exciting to me.  Through the last few weeks its been me, putting up inspiration/mood boards for my art this year. I spent the last few weeks of last year 2014, gathering as much    re-cycleable items from every where possible.  So I could create themes and purpose around these items.  My studio is in a total mayhem, just got my Cricut explore cutter machine delivered to me, still trying to explore that.  Bought a lot of cheap glass and ceramic vases from the thrift and charity stores, how exciting is that?. Collected tonnes of bottles from friends and restuarants.  Talked my favourite fabric store, into selling all there fabric remnants to me,  for cheap. Also got good quality leather scraps, from stalking my upholstery maker down the road.  With all the other necessary add on's and craft materials ready I think I

STOP AND LOVE ACRYLIC MIXED MEDIA PAINTING ON BOARD BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Image
Beginning of the year is always one full of promises and resolutions, that we make for ourselves some type of guide lines, that we hope will make us better people. These resolutions are a reflection of our experiences the past year and we just hope to change them or better them somehow as the months go by.  mixed media;stop and love; acrylic and newspaper on gypsum fiber board; 2015;miabo enyadike.   Stop and love, is a painting created on a used gypsum fibre board,  aka ceiling tiles. #recycling!  It reflects our society today, where the hurting are left to languish, or sheer disregard for humanity.  mixed media;stop and love; acrylic and newspaper on gypsum fiber board; 2015;miabo enyadike.   I think, we are just simply overwhelmed by events around us, that we almost cannot comprehend  how these things happen, let alone stop and love our fellow man. My resolutions are many and year in year out, one that stands out for me, that I truly accomplish
