Valentine Gifts With Love this Season. By Miabo Enyadike

Valentine Gifts With Love this Season.

Valentine season is here, and our thoughts are on how to spend the day with people we love and care for.

Heart Painting

We always want to share that day expressing our love, in several ways. The top of our list is giving out gifts.

                                                   love Sticker

These days our valentine day could be spent with charities we support, projects that are dear to our heart or the most important our loved ones.

Whatever way we intend to spend valentine's day, the giving of gifts is what makes the day.

Sometimes we have it all planned and it goes well as planned. Other times not so well, or not all.

I planned to spend the day, painting a series of acrylic paintings, but found myself in my studio, dreaming about getting a new wardrobe and how to tend to my over grown garden.

Next thing I knew I had board paper in my hands, ink and pen and was simply doodling or illustrating my exact thoughts on paper .

How to Decorate a Vase with Fabric Scraps by Miabo Enyadike

How to Decorate a Vase with Fabric Scraps

We all have that off cut fabric here and there, and we love these cut offs but not sure what to do with them.

I have my own stash of cut offs, sometimes ideas come up to use them.

This is one of the ideas that came up, to cover dollar store vases with fabric cut offs, mod podge and acrylic paint.

It was a bit daunting at first but later I was able to get through with it.

I used lace, cotton and polyester fabrics, the easiest fabric to set on the vases, was the cotton lace fabric.

The others took a while but they all turned out well.....................ENJOY.

LIVING AT HOME ART AND CRAFT I LOVE BY MIABO ENYADIKE

For me Art and Craft are a huge part of my life apart from it being  my trade, it is a lifestyle and one that I enjoy living.

This year I have decided  to change my concept of colour, instead of keeping it simple

I decided to go bold for myself and translate the real way I feel

inside of me through colour on the things I love.

The only way these colourful items could be curated in my home, without being loud

was to paint my walls in my living room and beyond white so

the Art and Craft represent the colour.............Enjoy

Bottle Decoration Ideas to Make by Miabo Enyadike

Bottle Decoration Ideas to Make

My love for bottles, is one that I cherish and I look out for new ways, to improve and incorporate new ideas into this re-cycling craft that I love so much.

The bottle skyline I made, are different sizes of bottles put together on a wooden platform, with glue and spray paint, to create a skyline of some sort that would serve as a decor piece.

This could represent a simple sculpture piece or could be used as vases for floral arrangement, especially during the summer season.

For me I put this simple yet elegant pieces, in my reading space

as a constant reminder, "that impossible is nothing"...ENJOY!

STOP AND LOVE ACRYLIC MIXED MEDIA PAINTING ON BOARD BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Beginning of the year is always one full of promises and resolutions, that we make for ourselves some type of guide lines, that we hope will make us better people.

These resolutions are a reflection of our experiences the past year and we just hope to change them or better them somehow as the months go by.

Stop and love, is a painting created on a used gypsum fibre board, aka ceiling tiles.
#recycling!

It reflects our society today, where the hurting are left to languish, or sheer disregard for humanity.

I think, we are just simply overwhelmed by events around us, that we almost cannot comprehend
how these things happen, let alone stop and love our fellow man.

My resolutions are many and year in year out, one that stands out for me, that I truly accomplish  is recycle more!.

I decided to place one of my new year resolutions on it, as a constant reminder that I need to love more and give more.

I know it sounds corny,  but when we take our minds back to how ruthless and mean, last year was around the world, it is heart wrenching and we need to Stop and love.

For me it starts with my family Stop and love, my neighbours, no matter how annoying they are, Stop and love.

In our workplaces with all the backstabbing and stress,
please stop and love.

In our fragile communities, Stop and love and maybe just maybe this year could be different....
