Waste Recycled - How I Painted The African Map on 20 Pairs of Discarded Denim Pants by Miabo Enyadike

Modern Map of Africa Concept art idea Africa is my continent one that  I love and cherish, the eclectic mix of cultures and people is beyond imagination.  Every country in Africa is unique to its people, culture and origins that's why the continent, is always a draw for people to visit and explore.  My Africa is a place where  resilience is inborn not acquired, you inher it that!.  Family is everything  and you support each, other no matter what.   I love my Africa the dusty streets, the simplicity of the people,  the ceremonies that last for days celebrating cultural events that mark our different heritage and make our identity unique as Africans. The communal feast and the beautiful array of colors that is reflect in our culture. Africa is rugged, no matter where you see it, from Cape to Cairo that is what makes it interesting and fascinating, to want to experience this ruggedness and just want to embrace it and polish it, int...

Recycled Waste - Abstract Painting with Egg Crates | Artmiabo

Abstract Painting with Egg Crates  When a good friend of mine dropped by my house over a year ago, She brought with her  50 empty paper egg crates.  She told me she had just  uncluttered her house when She  thought  of me!. Wow that was huge for me. Now, don't get me wrong, my house is not an incinerator nor a refuse dump. She had no idea she had just sent my imaginative mind racing.  I thanked her and pondered, for almost a year on what exactly to do with this Greek Gift. It was there staring at me every time I was in my garage/studio, I knew it had huge potential but how?                         EMPTY EGG CRATES Finally I decided to use it as a base for an oil painting. I thought to myself it must have an appeal and value.I kept processing it in my mind, from a crea tive and marketing point of view, on how best to go about creating something out o...

Recycled Paper Art Inspiration and Ideas By Miabo Enyadike

Art and Paper Inspiration Ideas   Craft will always be my first creative love, when my Art block comes I resort to making things, that  calm my nerves or create things that inspire me and take my mind gently back to art.                                                                               This time around I decided to work with Paper to create accessories and art that is appealing but inexpensive.  That would serve as both decor items and handmade gifts.                       Paper can be manipulated easily, it really does not pose any challenge just cut and paste.      I decided to drop by the craft store and pick up objects of interes...
