 Ink and Paper Mixed Media Art  Mixed Media Paper Art is almost like craft, because you work with a lot of craft ideas infused with art.  I wanted to make art that told a story about lifestyle in a rather simplistic way.  My art story for this project was inspired by people and nature that surrounds me. Recently, I was offered a huge pile of leather cut offs by the upholstery store down the road around the area I live.  Its not that I'm a big customer, but  I am a friend of the business and their regular, leather stalker. I keep an eagle eye on their leather scraps. They know, that I would take whatever, I am given with gratitude and appreciation, so the stalking became legal.  When I was given, this huge pile I immediately went into creative mode in my mind. Coming up with  craft ideas, I could use these cut offs for.  Then it occurred to me, that I could actually create art, with it.  Something different, simple but abstract. I decided to create, sculpted newspapers as the base, to apply my leather cut offs on.  Each telling a story, that is different but are all similar, because of the leather and the colors I chose to paint them. Abstract Mixed Media Art Garden of Eden RED VEGETATION The story of the garden of Eden, in the bible never grows old on this "gal". I always gasp, with pleasure each time I read it.  My imagination tends to run wild, on what the place would have looked like, and how it felt, to live in such beauty and serenity devoid of any form of pollution or noise, except for the animals.  YELLOW VEGETATION I have truly on several occasions, stretched my imagination beyond my normal capacity, to envisage what that place, represented visually unfortunately I am limited by my own imagination, about this biblical place.
