When Art Takes Over: A Day of Ink, Fashion, and Garden Dreams
Sometimes, a day unfolds exactly as we plan it. Other times, it takes a surprising turn, guiding us into the realm of our daydreams. My intention was to spend the day immersed in acrylics, creating a vibrant series of paintings. Instead, I found myself drifting in my studio, drawn toward thoughts of a refreshed wardrobe and a well-tended garden.
Garden illustration;
My hands, almost instinctively, reached for paperboard, ink, and pen. With each stroke, I brought to life the vision of an inviting, lush garden, carefully pruned and vibrant—a haven that existed only in my mind, now on paper.
In my art world, I continued to explore. Boots appeared next, their design inspired by my fondness for merging fashion with function, each line hinting at journeys yet to be taken. Each piece on paper symbolized both the ordinary and extraordinary facets of my dreams—gardens to nurture, wardrobes to curate, and new chapters waiting to unfold.
As the day slipped away, I was no longer concerned with my original plans. The art took over, creating a narrative of its own. Through my ink on paperboard, I had found myself wandering through the beauty of simple, heartfelt daydreams. And in the end, I felt fulfilled, even without the acrylics.
