  Modern Abstract Art Silhouettes to view     I enjoy painting abstract art silhouettes especially faces.The simple reason is I can manipulate the profile of an individual, with several layers of color.  Abstract Art Faces Ideas to View Now Indigo Blue color is a color tone, I have come to know and love. This color was huge in the late seventies, in my home country of Nigeria. It is a  blue color, I remember vividly that was used on fabrics to create what we know as Adire(Tie dye) pronounced Ah-d-rear.  FACES IN BLUE ABSTRACT PAINTING BLOG  The Inspiration for this series is drawn from the blue tye-dye fabric in my home country, where different shades and tones of blue are applied on white cotton through natural dyes to create a traditional textile design called Adire.  This used to be an ancient textile Art of dying pure cotton fabric for days in a dye pit dug in the ground, using natural elements that create this awesome blue hue, and this method of traditional dyeing is still used till this very day.                        In my early childhood in Nigeria, early seventies, everywhere you turned at that time or era everyone had an Adire outfit of some sort from babies to

                     Abstract art on clipboards                        My weekend, was one I spent lazing around in my pjs, eating  flatbread and hummus.  Sounds crazy or weird but for me, it was fun and a bit out of the norm.  The weird part, was not the choice of food or being in my PJ's all day, but the brief I got from a client who commissioned me to create abstract Art on clipboards for him 10 days ago.                                 Well, I have done decoupage on clipboards but actual painting no.  Not only was I not so sure, his brief was equally abstract to say the least, "just paint me anything abstract on these clipboards he said".                    It took me a week to process it.  I'm used to large Ink paintings on  paperboard or Acrylic, on large canvas or wood boards, miniature not so sure.  Art and Paper Inspiration Ideas   Craft will always be my first creative love, when my Art block comes I resort to making things, that  calm my nerves or create things that inspire me and take my mind gently back to art.                                                                                This time around I decided to work with Paper to create accessories and art that is appealing but inexpensive.  That would serve as both decor items and handmade gifts.                       Paper can be manipulated easily, it really does not pose any challenge just cut and paste.      I decided to drop by the craft store and pick up objects of interest I can apply my old magazine cut outs and other paper, that is inspiring to me in order to give these objects a new look and feel.  I hope you are inspired, because I am. Mixed Media Art | How to Repurposed Jean Pants                  I love to use denim as a creative  medium  for Art and also craft.  Armed with my brushes, Paint and Glue the possibilities are endless.                  Used denim pants are my thing, the possibilities in terms of creativity is just awesome.                  First and foremost it is a soft version of canvas, so it is easy to absorb paint and you can create all sorts of textures on it.               It is easy to sculpt into a desired effect and it really lends itself,                    to any creative process or possibilities, an artist is prepared to go with it and I love that!.                I'm never tired of working with used denim,  it already has structure by way of the cut,  stitching and design.              So for me as an artist,who looks out for small art projects that involve, working with any surface out there, it is a wonderful dream come true.
