Art Rope Bowls

After a recent health scare, I was told by my physician,  to take it easy and reduce my workload.

I was a bit confused, by my doctor's advice........ hello! what planet is he from.

I am a fine artist, we are the most laid back people on this planet, free spirited and without barriers.
We are stuck, in a world we have created, for ourselves outside the existing one we all live in.

I for one is stuck in the 1980's, I listen to 80's singer
Kool and the Gang's 'Get down on it'  every day,  it's part of my daily routine, how cool is that!

Having said all that, I knew my doctor, only meant well and just wanted me well rested and less stressed, before my next visit.

I knew deep down, that he was right because I'd become entangled, in too many activities and have not had a break, in a long while.

There is always something new to do,adding to my long list of work, and activities.
Sometimes I wonder, how in heaven's name, I created the time, for some of them that are so exhausting and unnecessary.

I decided to turn this period of rest,to reflect on life and how we get ourselves entangled, in all sorts of activities.

Good or bad, in anticipation of a result, that reflects the reason we got entangled in the first place.

As an Artist, the only way I could answer for myself and take responsibility, to reduce my workload was to translate my rather hectic lifestyle, into art bowls.

Materials Needed:
Cotton Rope
plastic bag to cover mold bowl
glue and brush
Spray Paint

Transforming a Vintage Mannequin into a Unique Lamp Shade for Your Home Decor My home is my sanctuary, art gallery and art studio/family house so I live and breath Art.  I want to live in constant inspiration and ideas, I love to wake up in that kind of space. Natural light plays a huge part in my home, as light helps to project my Art giving my living room a gallery feel. But come evening, I just want to relax with my family, cook dinner and enjoy the evening in calmness. And that brings me to my Vintage Mannequin Stand I decided to turn into a night lamp stand.  I Love different light designs, for me, it completes an interior. Beautiful light fittings, say a lot about the design aesthetics of a room and creates, a certain type of drama and ambiance in that room.   When I bought, a metal mannequin for my studio, a lamp stand, was the furthest thing in my mind.  I used it solely to hang knitted bags, beads and clothes. Early this year...

Expressionist Abstract Art of Women by Miabo Enyadike

Expressionist Abstract Art of Women  Drawing women and their expressions is something, I am truly interested in. Female profiles and faces in abstract is intriguing and Ink drawings, are a way for me to throw that notion out there, of a female portrait created differently.  This is something that is important to me as a woman artist, this matters.                                                                                                                  I draw faces in a way that is uncomplicated  and easy to read, in a rather caricature way though not comical, with ink, it is easy to let the colors flow so that they create for me, the facial contours and structure.  My emp...
