Art is defined in many forms, these could be fine Art, Literature, Acting, Photography, Cooking, anything that is creative. The term Abstract is derived from a type of fine art that represents a concept rather than an actual object or scene, from my own point of view as an abstract artist of over 30 years.

I love the way it was defined by this 20th century artist:"Abstract Art is art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead use shapes, colors, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect"- Wassily Kandinsky.

                   

The reason for this topic is because some people believe that abstract art is not real art, but the fact is it is because it is meant to engage the viewers mind and increase critical observations about events in another perspective.

 It does not force an opinion, instead it allows for free analysis of the subject matter that the artist is explaining through the art he or she has created.

My experience with abstract paintings, has opened my eyes to how people interpret events, humanity and social issues. I am always amazed at how engaged people are, when they view an abstract artwork as opposed to art subjects that are clearly defined.

Abstract art will always evoke response that is either critical of the artists view or understood by the audience and appreciated. That in itself is what makes the art in abstract brilliant because of the emotions, conversations and critical views, this type of art style will always receive.

                

This little collection of abstract paintings, I have put together are my own take of Art in Abstract and they are inspired by Wassily Kandinsky. The use of colors, marks and shapes, have formed the basis of these paintings that tell a story about humanity in relations to social issues.
