Abstract Art Paintings of Climate Change
I always come across mixed media art as an art form straight from the heart there are no rules except yours and how far you want to take it.
My love for color driven art always makes me challenge myself. Recently I felt the need to create ink textured paintings with lace fabrics as the stencils.

I collect old lace mostly from family members and I use them for craft and art, these lace fabrics have designs and patterns on them that make them easy to be used as stencils.
I didn't want to use regular stencils I wanted stencils that I can place on the ink-based paper boards and spray on with spray paint, that allows some of the paint to sip through the stencil and the lace fabric stencil worked very well.

I chose different shades of blue and orange, red and black to create this series.
The inspiration for me came after watching the California fires burn down properties, trees and how people were escaping through the fire, it really was frightening and so devastating to watch.

I was horrified with what I was watching and all I could see was hot red, black smoke, and the sky.

So my paintings in abstract mixed media show black for smoke and chard remains of tress houses and forest, the reds and oranges, show fire the blues show the sky the magenta indicates fire burning through colorful vegetation.

The textures made with lace are areas with houses, lakes, swimming pools, etc.
My hope truly was to create art where people see this catastrophe from a different perspective and the horrors of climate change, and urgency for a need to tackle it through science and research hopefully going forward.
Our planet is all we have, let us take care of it collectively.
