Abstract Painting on Discarded Ceiling Board Stop and Love by Miabo Enyadike

Abstract Painting on Discarded Ceiling Board Stop and Love

Beginning of the year is always one full of promises and resolutions, that we make for ourselves some type of guide lines, that we hope will make us better people.

These resolutions are a reflection of our experiences the past year and we just hope to change them or better them somehow as the months go by.

Stop and love, is a painting created on a used gypsum fiber board, aka ceiling tiles.
It reflects our society today, where the hurting are left to languish, or sheer disregard for humanity.

I think, we are just simply overwhelmed by events around us, that we almost cannot comprehend
how these things happen, let alone stop and love our fellow man.

My resolutions are many and year in year out, one that stands out for me, that I truly accomplish is recycle more and help preserve my environment through one recycle and sustainable art at a time.

I decided to place one of my new year resolutions on it, as a constant reminder that I need to love more and give more.

I know it sounds corny,  but when we take our minds back to how ruthless and mean, this year has been around the world, it is heart wrenching and we need to Stop and love.

For me it starts with my family Stop and love, my neighbours, no matter how annoying they are, Stop and love.
In our workplaces with all the backstabbing and stress,
please stop and love.

With our environs and its sustainabilty, Stop and love.

In our fragile communities, Stop and love maybe just be different next year....

Transforming a Vintage Mannequin into a Unique Lamp Shade for Your Home Decor My home is my sanctuary, art gallery and art studio/family house so I live and breath Art.  I want to live in constant inspiration and ideas, I love to wake up in that kind of space. Natural light plays a huge part in my home, as light helps to project my Art giving my living room a gallery feel. But come evening, I just want to relax with my family, cook dinner and enjoy the evening in calmness. And that brings me to my Vintage Mannequin Stand I decided to turn into a night lamp stand.  I Love different light designs, for me, it completes an interior. Beautiful light fittings, say a lot about the design aesthetics of a room and creates, a certain type of drama and ambiance in that room.   When I bought, a metal mannequin for my studio, a lamp stand, was the furthest thing in my mind.  I used it solely to hang knitted bags, beads and clothes.
