Nigerian Fine Artists have come a long way, in Visual Arts, these new Contemporary Artists are 'Myth Busters' that African fine Artists need, international intervention to be relevant.
Right here on home soil they have changed that belief and have created a recognizable relevance, that puts them at par with other international Artists
They have shown through raw grit and hard work, that it is possible to be relevant in this art space, without international assistance and still make a mark.

They have innovated new ways of how we view Nigerian fine art and Artists, by applying the new styles to the old traditional ways of making art.

Fascination with colors and its mastery has been the hallmark of Azuka's artworks.

Segun Okewumi: Ibadan,Nigeria
Segun Okewumi hails from the ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo State; where he has his early education. He obtained a National Diploma in Art from the Yaba college of Technology before proceeding to Obafemi Awolowo University to earn a Bachelor's Degree.
His mother has been a great source of inspiration to him that has opened a fountain of creative impulse on several occasions. His works radiate Empathy for the underprivileged in society. Bursts of human activity often fire his vibrant imagination.
Also, his works engages the thriving and dynamic music culture in Africa. He has special reverence for motherhood and likes to celebrate Mother's generally in his works.

John Urherigho Onobrakpeya, born April 19, 1960 in Nigeria, has spent 40 year mastering his artistic style and technique.University of Benin 1984 – 1987 First Class Honors. He is strongly inspired by Pablo Picasso’s artwork.

Adeola Balogun:Lagos, Nigeria
Multidimensional Sculptor Adeola Balogun was born November 17th, 1966 at Ota in Ogun State, Nigeria. He graduated from Yaba College of Technology, with specialization in sculpture (1993/94) and Masters in Fine Art (MFA, Sculpture) at the University of Benin (2001/4), Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
He bagged his PhD in Sculpture (2020) at Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State. Adeola is a fine Art Lecturer,and Currently Head of Fine Art Dept,Yaba College of Technology, Lagos Nigeria.

Olatunji Benjami Damilare, is a Nigerian contemporary painter and a mixed media Artist. He was born in Lagos march,26th where he grew up and followed his passion for Art. He was trained as a painter in the school of art Yaba college of technology in Lagos before he started his exploratory research.
He Studied General Art in national diploma and later painting as a specialization which earned him a Higher National Diploma. While in school,he had the opportunity to meet great artists engaging in collaborative projects.
His work experience with other artist gained him more exposure.

Olatunji is one of the artist that is of the innate transcendentalism of this contemporary world. Although,before Olatunji discovered himself as an artist,he was an apprentice under different masters most who where not experimental and expressionists but realists.In the year 2010, he started out as an impressionist,realist and now an abstract expressionist.

Rasheed Adedamola Amodu, was born in the 1960s at Surulere, Lagos. His parents are from Oyo State, Nigeria. His primary and secondary school education was done in Lagos before getting a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in Fine Arts, specializing in painting, from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife, in 1991.

He bagged a Master of Arts degree (M.A.), specializing in art history- African Studies, in 2001 at University of Ibadan, lbadan, and a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in African Art Studies from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- lfe, in 2015. Amodu is presently a Ph.D Postgraduate student at his alma mater: OAU, Ile- Ife. He was given a Distinguished Stewardship Award by the Society of Nigerian Artists, Lagos State Chapter in 2015.

Oluwapelumi Janet Ayokunle. is from Ekiti state, and was born on the 16th of August 1990 in Lagos State Nigeria.
She have a first degree in Architecture from the prestigious Yaba College of Technology.
Janet is a Self taught Fashion Illustrator and Portrait Artist and uses water color, ball point pen, color pencils etc. Presently she uses the digital medium Auto desk Sketchbook pro app on her phone. She started creating these illustrations 2 years ago.

Born in March 1978 into the family of Michael Ogiebo,a pioneer sculptor in Edo state of Nigeria, Chris holds a Higher National Diploma (first degree in sculpture from Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi in 2007.His sculptures explore human forms often in stylized abstract way.
