Who is Samson Akinnire?

Born on June 1, 1986, and based in Lagos, Nigeria, Samson Akinnire has earned international recognition for his ability to transform discarded materials into striking works of art.

By harvesting waste such as aluminum, stainless cans, automobile parts, electrical gadgets, and kitchenware, he reimagines trash into intricate sculptures and installations.

His creative process involves nailing, gluing, welding, burning, punching, and sewing these discarded elements together with copper wire onto engraved wood, producing bold and thought-provoking compositions.
