As a professional visual artist based in Africa, I specialize in creating vibrant and colorful abstract paintings that reflect my unique perspective on life, culture, and environmental sustainability. Armed with a degree honors in Fine and applied Arts, a Certified Interior Decorator and MBA in Strategic Management, I spend time creating ART Related opportunities for others and myself.
At Artmiabo, I embrace the principles of Artpreneurship, using my platform to not only sell my artwork online but also organize art exhibitions, workshops, and events for professional artists, art students, and enthusiasts. My abstract art is deeply personal, showcasing how I see, feel, and interpret life’s complexities. I am passionate about the environment and often incorporate recycled materials into my work, demonstrating the beauty and impact of sustainability through art.
Inspired by the boldness of Picasso, my creations are brought to life on recycled smooth paper boards using vivid inks, with a focus on turning disused objects into thought-provoking art. I aim to raise awareness about the value of re-purposing materials, highlighting the financial and environmental benefits for both artists and collectors.
Achievements & Recognition
Throughout my career, I’ve received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Ford Foundation Award for Contemporary Art (2006) and the Exceptional Service to Fellow Artist Award from the College of Art and Design, Yaba Tech, Lagos (2017). My works, such as "Chaos and Confusion," have inspired students and educators globally, including a special project by Stafford County Schools and Chesterfield County Public Schools in the U.S., where my art was used to create therapeutic sonic sound music during virtual learning.
Two of my abstract pieces, "Faces and Expressions of Women," are now part of the Permanent Collection at the Musée de Peinture de Saint-franjou, France.
