Abstract Artists create art in an obscure way revealing in small terms what their art means. The Art might be compelling but the interpretations might be confusing to some people. Nevertheless that is the way they  want to create art and interpret the obvious.

When I was a young artists maybe around 19 or 20 years of age which was some 30 years ago, I felt I had to put in very dot, line, shade and color in place to truly convey my art message.

By the time I was through art grad school and went to work in a different profession, I found out that people didn't care about all that. They loved an art they bought it simple. It gave me time to rethink and re-imagine my way of creating art as I worked in a different industry that had no business with art.

I became fixated with Picasso and Frida Kahlo bought several books on Chagall and studied their personalities more, instead of their style.

Then it dawned on me the reason they were great and celebrated was that they stuck to their own individual ideas, about how they see art and the way they interpreted it, it had to be uniquely theirs and you are either on board or leave it, they remained focused.

It helped me navigate my true art sense on how I see people, events, objects and nature, and I have remained focused true to my art style which is Abstract expressionism.

My art is color driven and working with all manner of materials that are available to me, and I love what I do. My subjects are flowers, nature, humanity and events they inspire me.

I no longer fear what collectors or critics think anymore, I have come to realize over the years as a professional artist, that there are people out there who love what I do. Also I have been able to sell a lot of my artworks across countries and continents.

Abstract Art Series, Chaos and Confusion  It has been, one horrible weekend in Paris, one of my favorite cities and one of the worlds best travel destinations. Transforming a Vintage Mannequin into a Unique Lamp Shade for Your Home Decor by Miabo Enyadike

Transforming a Vintage Mannequin into a Unique Lamp Shade for Your Home Decor My home is my sanctuary, art gallery and art studio/family house so I live and breath Art.  I want to live in constant inspiration and ideas, I love to wake up in that kind of space. Natural light plays a huge part in my home, as light helps to project my Art giving my living room a gallery feel. But come evening, I just want to relax with my family, cook dinner and enjoy the evening in calmness. And that brings me to my Vintage Mannequin Stand I decided to turn into a night lamp stand.  I Love different light designs, for me, it completes an interior. Beautiful light fittings, say a lot about the design aesthetics of a room and creates, a certain type of drama and ambiance in that room.   When I bought, a metal mannequin for my studio, a lamp stand, was the furthest thing in my mind.  I used it solely to hang knitted bags, beads and clothes. Early this year...

Waste Recycled - A Sustainable Art Living by Miabo Enyadike

The Art of Sustainable Living Sustainable living, Found Objects, Recycling,  Up-cycle, Eco Art, call it whatever has been my life style as an artist for many years.  My attitude toward the discarded found object is reflected in my home.  I collect used bottles, books, distressed wood, pine cones, used jeans, used clothing, used plastics and so many more to create art and design for homes, collectors and my store.  My home forms an integral part of my art process, because I work and live in the same space as the Art I sell. My early inspiration came from Jasper Johns early works where he used mostly found objects to create art.                          Cross Made out of Wood, Egg Shells and Egg Crates Then I moved on to be inspired by street art here in Africa through my travels across the continent.  I discovered really moving and inspiring art, created with found objects that we take for granted ...
