The Nigerian Recycling Artist Redefining Sustainability Through Creativity

April 29 – May 1, 2025, Lagos, Nigeria – The Artmiabo International Art Festival (AMIAF) returns with the groundbreaking theme, ‘The Artconomy,’ celebrating the fusion of art and commerce. Who is Samson Akinnire?

Born on June 1, 1986, and based in Lagos, Nigeria, Samson Akinnire has earned international recognition for his ability to transform discarded materials into striking works of art.

By harvesting waste such as aluminum, stainless cans, automobile parts, electrical gadgets, and kitchenware, he reimagines trash into intricate sculptures and installations.

His creative process involves nailing, gluing, welding, burning, punching, and sewing these discarded elements together with copper wire onto engraved wood, producing bold and thought-provoking compositions.

                                                  Abstract Art Series, Chaos and Confusion  It has been, one horrible weekend in Paris, one of my favorite cities and one of the worlds best travel destinations.
