Faith Omole is a Lagos-based visual artist known for her evocative paintings that intertwine historical symbolism with deeply personal storytelling. Passionate about preserving indigenous wisdom, she believes in the power of symbols that communicate unity, love, and cultural pride. Her art is a testament to mental survival, tackling themes of loss, familial trauma, and the quest for connection. With a background in Microbiology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Faith brings a meticulous eye for detail into her creative practice. Her self-taught journey as an artist has earned her recognition on both local and international platforms. She was part of the prestigious Creative Reaction Lab Program’s Artwork for Equity 2024 cohort in Brooklyn and was shortlisted for the 2023/24 Kuenyehia Art Prize in Ghana.
Faith has exhibited in prominent group shows in Nigeria and Ghana, including the Plus 234 Art Fair, sponsored by EcoBank in 2024. She has also participated in three notable residency and mentorship programs in Nigeria, including the fully funded Kuta Art Residency, sponsored by Victoria’s Secret. In 2022, she was a guest speaker at the BlackSAIC Experience at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In 2024, her early career works were featured in Manhattan, NY, as part of the Pilot African Indigenous Mural Project by Ankhlave Arts Alliance. As an artist dedicated to pushing creative boundaries, Faith Omole continues to use her art as a vessel for cultural preservation and emotional healing. Join Faith Omole at AMIAF 2025
