THE FINE ART OF

JOHN ONOBRAKPEYA

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I See exhibitions as a vehicle to convey a narrative, deeply etched in the soul of an artist.

In my 40 odd years of being a professional artist their is always a lens through which I see humanity and society at large, both from a traditional African lens, and that of a man telling a story of life in his community.

I hope this exhibition does that in showing my state of mind in every work which is inspired by my African community - John Onobrakpeya
